Coach Bernard

Bernard Goshay is in his 4th year coaching with the Power Cheer! family. He is head coach of Wildcats and the State and National Champion Pumas, and private lesson and tumbling class instructor. Bernard also won his first State and National Champion titles on our Adult Open Elite teams this past year and is looking forward to competing another year on the team. Bernard is also a substitute teacher and counselor at DeLand High School. "B" as we call him, has worked with cheerleading squads at the high school, all-star and college level. He has coached Mainland and Atlantic high school, as well as Bethune-Cookman and DBCC for the past four years.

Bernard is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman College where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He plans to continue his education and work toward his masters in Criminology and someday hold a position of US Marshall. Go Bernard!

"B" has a talent for patience and great abilities to teach proper tumbling technique. He also can hold his own on the cheer floor. Bernard brings great talent to our Elite team with his overall stunting skills (and he is known to bust out a dance from time to time). Bernard's philosophy is; "Talent defines you. Never sit on it, because to whom it is given, much is required". "B" has a special talent with the kids and is loved by everyone, we are so happy to have him as a member of the Power Cheer! family and look forward to his teaching techniques, good humor and friendship for years to come.
